Because, even as the Bush administration and its British counterparts wallow in the deceit and lies that caused this illegal war in Iraq, there is a shred of decency. We still have not lowered ourselves to the level of suicide bombing. We still supposedly still believe in the dignity of each human person (so long as that person is American or British I suppose, excluding residents of New Orleans and the Gulf coast).

Could it be that it's unethical and immoral to take advantage of someone's poverty and/or ignorance. People do alot a crazy things in desparation & fear. But to encourage suicide is to be an accessory thus making the ones doing it guilty of murder.

Despite the few that are immoral in any military the vast majority are not. Most in the west value life even at it's most desparate points. The moral highground has a higher price. Just like the bomb dropped in Japan may have saved thousands or even millions of lives on both sides, what if Japan had felt it was ok to retaliate in kind? Would we still offer excuses?

It's a sad world we live in when a group can pay someone to kill themselves & others out of an irrational hate for a group. Yet that same group that paid him had no compassion for him and/or his family enough to help them otherwise. Just to use him for their own purposes. Terrorists is too kind of an expression to call them. But it's the best one word we have to describe them. I can think of a few dozen to go with it, though.

In a sense our soldiers have to do that everyday in combat (risk their own lives & take the lives of others) but many live with guilt, even when it's for the right reason. But rarely do any go out looking to kill just for the sake of killing. How much more so is it just plain wrong to pay someone to take another's life when one is so desparate they will do anything to protect & care for their family.

But we only spent some gazillion dollars making GPS and other smart bombs. Just so we don't need such a thing. Heck we can shoot one out of a ship 100s of miles away. With pin point accuracy. No need to hire some idiot suicide bombers.

that's sickening! what's much extra sickening is the actuality our president believes he could have a talk with those murderers and each little thing would be all suited interior the international, that we are going to on no account be attacked back on our soil, and that we are in a position to all stay fortunately ever after - no longer!

At least in the U.S., the country is still founded (even though many find it hard to admit) on Christian principles. And, that goes against the Bible. The countries who promote suicide bombings believe it will get them to Heaven. But, that wouldn't fly in the States.

Think about it: what if WE had suicide bombers? What would the extremist world do if we sent felons out to blow up THEIR marketplaces?

It would certainly depleate the value of the act

I agree with you in principal, but let me tidy this up a bit, ok?

Why not strap bombs onto automated robots, and let THEM do the suicide bombing, and then we will have no blood on our hands for allowing some homeless and distraught individual to blow himself up. Ok? It would still accomplish the mission.

Although this is an unusual question, I like free thinkers!!

We don't have access to a lot of religiously brain washed fanatics who are willing to blow themselves up in the farcical belief that they are going to heaven for the killing of as many people as posible, simply because they don't subscribe to the same crap that you do. And if we did, we wouldn't do it anyway because we are morally superior to these so called, martyrs to the cause!
