For a single person good ideas are Club Med, all inclusive resorts, frequented by single people so there willl be others there ready to meet someone as well. Also a cruise can be enjoyable though you will have to pay extra for a single room as they are normally booked double occupancy. Cruises often have several single people and they can be met at shipboard events appealing to singles like the nightclubs (Check with the Cruise Director or Purser's desk for suggestions, also, most ships put out an extensive list of activities for people of all interest). The best cruises for a tan are the Caribbean out of Texas or Florida or Baja Mexico out of California. They usually range from 4-7 days, so a weeks vacation or a long weekend. But most importantly, you have to get out and get involved.
Have a great time.

While I dont have much to go on... it sounds like you really only need to focus on not over-committing yourself, instead of trying to escape the weight of your superheroes cape...
Whatever you decide... you have to let other people carry their own weight.
These feelings you are having are just your good common sense telling you that the time has come for this imbalance to be resolved.
You are organic and the consequences of neglect are manyfold... you cannot serve 2 masters for long unless you make them serve you.
So... in the meanstwhile... try the local pubs, parks, etc... location may not be the real answer yet, lifestyle and decision-making maybe just the tune-up you are looking for ...
That's what worked for me... I wish you clarity, justice, peace of mind !
PS: ... if all else fails... rescue a pet from the local Humane Society /animal shelter (a pet at least 3 yrs old already knows the ropes, will be more patient with you, and is a great resource with meeting new people as they tend to be great judges of character... good luck!

If you have a passport go to St. Lucia, rodney bay area. The locals are very friendly and welcoming. If no passport go to Miami, lay on the beach and enjoy the excellent nightlife. Or Puerto Rico, beautiful country, friendly people. If you aren't feeling the beach try Las Vegas, very hot so you'll get tan just walking down the street, and there is always something to do, gamble, party, check out a few shows. Always something going on.

Cozumel Mexico. The Allegro resorts there are all inclusive which means you pay one price and it includes your hotel, food, and all the alcohol you want. My husband and I have gone 3 times now and love it. There are a lot of fun activities that the staff put together each day. A lot of the activites are group activities so I am sure you will find something in common with a lot of them. It is a fun and beautiful place.
You can see it better here

You can book it at www.applevacations.com
We have stayed at both the Allegro Grand and Allegro Cozumel. To me the Allegro Cozumel was a much better place and it is cheaper.

I would say florida, my friend just went there and loved it...he has been there before of course, but he still enjoys it. And not to be like "trying to sell anything," but I am a travel agent and this website, http://MatthewMartinez.worldventures.com is a good site to search for the lowest airfare and hotel and such because it searches travel sites all at once to get the lowest price. Just thought it might save you some time from searching around and some money...you never know :)

If you have a passport, go on a Windjammer cruise. They are very laid back and do the tall sailing ship thing. Lots of singles and very casual. The ship are smaller and hit lots of islands the bigger ship can't go to. Swim suits and shorts are all you will need.Check out www.windjammercruises.com.
