They take parts of several names, put them together and that becomes a baby's name.
I worked with a black lady and she was the one black mothers came to to get a name for their baby. Thats very true. Pops

Because they want to be creative. There's too many "jessicas", "ashleys" and "bobs". Plus they like naming their children with something that has a meaning behind it. To me, it's beautiful.

yes actually there are books with african, or hispanic names. They are very pretty, as opposed to Bob , Jane, Billy, Dan

How are the names they pick any more "interesting" than the names Caucasian parents pick? Just because "Andy" or "Andrew" might sound normal to you doesn't mean it sounds normal to everyone.

I guessing you're talking ghetto names.
Well, my mom named me after an Indian singer named "Samira" and it means "Woman who entertains", and its pretty weird to, b/c I want to be an actress.

i dont know, but i have black friends who all have interesting names for their kids, i cant pronounce any of them, so i have nick names for them. but they are all beautiful names.
