You can name your girl anything your heart pleases, however, you should really keep in mind that many people have a tendency to be a lot like their name.
Shady isn't a bad name, but it may cause both you and your child problems.
Think about how children are to make fun of others especially using there name.
do you think you and your child could handle having it teased as Shady Lady? Cause you might as well get use to it now if you do name your child Shady.
Although, I must admit that shady is a pretty word, and it doesn't have to be low life, as I love to sit under a shady tree.
Maybe you could play with the word, and add a few more letters and come up with something else.

I knew a girl named chady pronounced almost like shady, but with a ch at the front.

no. it either sounds like a dog or makes me think of a shady deal. it doesn't sound like a name for a person

I don't think Shady is fitting. Remember you want your child to live up to their name.
