i have always heard pete writes them but i was watching some show and they said pete was the face of the band but patrick is the lyrical genius.

Pete wrote most of them on From under the cork tree, but on infinity on high Patrick, Pete , and some help from babyface , they all wrote the lyrics.

Mostly Pete. Patrick co writes as well. Pete writes what Patrick sings and Patrick writes what Pete will play. ^_^
