I have been back to work for 3 weeks. My son is 3 months and 2 weeks today and breast feeding are becoming far and few between. I started pumping (which I have not been very good at) when I started back to work. My job is very stressful and I have not pumped at all. I try to nurse at night but the last 2-3 nights my lilltle man has slept all night. I am scare that this is the end to my new beginnging and I would love to give my son this wonderful gift until he is a 1 or 2. I have already been sad that I didnt know how wonderful breast feeding was until now. I dont wont to call it quits. Please be truel is it full-time formula time?

not at all... if you find you are having trouble keeping your milk supply up try the herb "fenugreek" it's available at GNC in pill or tea form. The tea form works better but doens't taste very good... continue to also try to pump though it's the most effective way to keep your milk supply up next to nursing.

omg... 7 kids girl??? Wow God Bless you!!!

First I want to applaud you for breast feeding. It is truely an amazing experience.

The fact that you have eight children now and you work means that breast feeding isn't going to be easy.

Don't feel guilty if you have to start using formula and stop breast feeding. What I did with my youngest was fully breast fed until 9 months......I was able to stay home. He started lossing intrest and I was heart broken that I had to let him grow up. When I felt he was not getting enough milk I gradually suplemented with formula. Near the end I just nursed him in the morning and at night time. Those times gradually ended. The day he kept turning his head and not wanting to nurse and I turned his head back.......I realized it was time to stop.

Some women produce enough milk to fed an army. Others, no matter what they try are unable to do it. My first was unable to catch on to nursing. In order to nurse some mothers need lots of sleep and eat plenty of food and drink lots and lots of water and milk.

Every situation is different. My best advice is to let nature takes its course and gradually stop nursing. This could take months. and you might be able to enjoy nursing twice a day and keep that connection.

I would say you have done an amazing job being mom and hard worker.

You can try nursing when your baby wakes up in the morning and when you put him to bed at night. Pumping can be hard so don't be discouraged. Even if you nurse twice a day, you are benefiting the both of you.

The stress you have from work does not help in the production of milk! You have to drink plenty of fluids and eat right to produce milk also. You can supplement bottle milk and breast feed whenever you can, you will still produce the milk, just as often as it's needed! But when your child starts teething, watch out! Your nipple WILL become their teething ring!

I know how you feel I really wanted to but never had enough. If you go to a health food store they have a tea you can drink to help keep your milk coming. Just pump even if your baby is sleeping it is a very time consuming thing but if you have to go formula full time it is easier as you know already but it is depressing once you have breastfed and you cant anymore.

you can always pump and save it, keep it in a container in your fridge, it will be ok for up to ten days. you can also buy the little bags to store it in and freeze it. don't give up just yet. but when your baby turns one you should put him on whole milk. hope i helped.
