that was a trick question. of course he is. i just wanted some ignorant thug to try to make a case for Tupac or some crunk idiot to make a case for Lil Jon or some other nonsense. maybe some wanna be will give a shout out to M and M. (Rakim, Kwali, Mos Def, Amhad from 4th Ave Jones and Playdough all get 2nd place.) Common is the best. Well, maybe that moron that parties like a rock star is really the best. that's really intelligent and uplifting. Good for the community too. Maybe Common should tell young black women to take off their clothes and give dat man what he askin fo. that will help the struggle.

I'll tell you one thing; Common is quietly working his way up the list of greatest rappers of all time, over the last 10 years I dont think I could name an artist who is as consistent as him.....I would give Common top 10, maybe 6 is a stretch, but best rapper ever? no way....you must have forgotten that tupac talked about the struggles, no rapper to this day has influenced the people the way his voice did, you must have forgotten that Nas encouraged the youth to get educated, you must have forgotten KRS One's line of "real mc's spitting to uplift their people", also Rakim and Jay-z are better than Common...in my opinion putting him #1 off all time is taking your loyalty too far.

i agree common is good but i laugh at the comment "Maybe Common should tell young black women to take off their clothes and give dat man what he askin fo. that will help the struggle."

Go) She was a bad (uh), the type at the club ****** would grab her

actualy Mos Def is a better lyricist. ive heard some of common's stuff that i be like why did he let this make the cut?
but ive randomly searched for Mos Def songs and its like it never seems to dissapoint me. sometimes im iffy about the title but when you hear it its like oh okay im feelin this.

and yes tupac actually did clarify and i think i agree with him there are Ladies out there that should be treated like proper women but theres some women that no matter how you treat em they always going to be hoes, and you know you cant turn hoes into housewives.

well that is your opinion. I don't like the new crunk stuff, nor do I like the boring east coast rappers you just mentioned. Common is a positive guy, but it's just kinda boring for me too. At least thugs sound more exciting.......and they actually rap and don't repeat one hit wonder catch phrases like "this is why i'm hot" and "like this"
