Im a 16 year old male and have large boobs. The thing is, im only about 5-10 lbs overweight and i have a strict diet and workout routine. my boobs are quite large and have been growin since I was about a 11. They stick out and are enough to have cleavage. The other day at an extremly close friends house (who is a girl) she took me aside and said that she thinks I should wear a bra. She said it was hard to tell me and should knew it would be embarrasing but my boobs are just too large not too. They are much bigger than most girls in my grade. She offered to go with me to a fitting. She said I would feel much better wearing one. Should I start to wear a bra?

No you shouldn't wear a bra. NONONO...Go to a Dr and ask him what he recommends.Continue with your exercise routine. Because you are not obese you really should have a Dr. look and maybe there are other choices you don't know about.
I know she was being nice but I think everyone would be harder on you cause you wear a bra. First off wear a tight t-shirt,or beater shirt. A small one will be tight enough and hold you and you will feel better.
But,if you were to wear a bra to school, your friends will never let you get away with that... You are not the 1st male with this problem. and you won't be the last. Male breast Cancer is on the rise.Check yourself.
There might be a hormone you have too much of and maybe there is a male hormone to counter act whatever is going on..

Wow, this is a hard one. You could try wearing tank tops and singlets under your clothes that could help keep them under control. I dont know what it's like for guys, but if a girl with really big boobs don't wear a bra, they can be a real nuisance and can even cause pain. I would talk to your doctor about your hormone levels as well, and instead of just 'working out', actually play some sport that you feel comfortable playing. It doesn't have to be a school sport or a club thing, just get some friends together with a footy or a soccerball. It's fun, social, and helps you keep more acitve.

This is a hard one since I don't know if male boobs are the same as girls i.e. shape etc.

Goodness No! Male bresat development (Gynecomastia) is a medical complaint, it's not dangerous but you should see your doctor as steps can be taken to help you. If you wear a bra you will leave yourself open to ridicule and bras will only make your chest look more female, after all that's what bras are for!

no don't wear one, that would be just weird. Also most bras have padding, your boobs might start to look like women breasts, which would be just plain nasty. Plus lots of men are fat and have titties, just don't wear a bra I mean there's no reason to wear one. You're a guy and there are reasons why their not meant to use them. Just try to do exercise or something. Well I hope this helped!

If you dont want to jiggle then yes. If the thought is uncomforable then a form fitting sport bra, which is like a spandex under vest, would be an alternative. These are like vest but women wear them as summer vest because the "bra" is built in and it has thin straps. It is stretchy and looks like a vest or under shirt.,

Yes! There is a condition called Gynecomastia, it means man-boobs. Surgery is one option, but it is very expensive and usually not covered by insurance. The only real solution is for you to wear a bra for support.

No. Bras were not meant for males. Just try to wear shirts that make them less noticeable. Like with a big picture or words on the front so you can't see through your shirt.♥♥♥

That sounds like a problem you may want to see a doctor about. It seems unusual for a guy to have bigger breasts than their peers.

A doctor may be able to diagnose a problem and help you more than a bra, since it seems like you have a hormonal problem not a weight or eating problem.

no. what you need to do is go to the doctor. it's a medical problem that some males have. you need surgery. your hormones are producing too much estrogen. it's not a diet thing. good luck, and don't feel embarrassed.

Well maybe if you feel so strong about it. Except I think other boys may tease you if they find out about it. I would just ask a doctor on how to get rid of it.
