If i was a representative-promoting wine in China...what exactly would i be doing?

A representatives job basically "sells" that particular company, meaning its good points and bad points (not actual dollar figure), to investors, and other countries in hopes of building or expanding in a certain area. So, if you were selling wine in China for John Doe Winery (example) of California, you would be trying to promote their sales by getting the Chinese to drink more of John Doe Wines, and if they liked these wines well enough, they would allow the company to build a winery there, plant grapes, the whole nine yards.
