As far as factual answers I say that is laziness. As far as vague answers and opinions there is no factual source for looking those up (like "does my Avatar look fat" or " What is a cute hairdo I can get for the prom" or "why does my ex gf not answer my IM").
I also think some people are so thrilled by the fact that thousands of people might look at what they wrote that they just want to whip out any old question to get that process started.

Well, particularly when it comes to something practical, books and other reference sources don't always tell the whole story!
You can read about how to do something but it's way better to speak with someone who has experience and can tell you the things a book can't.
Experience is the best teacher of all, which is why I like to speak with those who have experience before beginning a project I am new at.

I think you could use a course or two in grammer, as well.
I was glad to see other people felt that way.
I mean, come one...

I think you should utilize the grammar and spelling check icon provided before you decide to call anyone stupid. Maybe you should use yahoo answers to find spelling and grammar courses in your area!

Because they want someone with knowledge and experience to help them with their problem.
Anyone can look up a subject, but when someone else says, "Hey, that happened to me and here's what I did...." it's much more helpful.
