Easy permanent fix. Go on the net and find a product called Flitz. Its a polishing compound in an aluminum squeeze tube. Flitz also sells a polishing bonnet that's made of a man made serrated fabric that fits perfectly on a 3/8 electric or battery powered drill. These two products will positively bring your plastic headlight lenses back to a gleaming clear finish.

OK, good question. I have looked and talked and asked about the same thing. I have seen people do certian things and it worked. But what I have found out is that you can start with a heavy grit sandpaper (100) then work your way all the way to about 2000 grit. This isnt easy or quick. And you do not want to sand to much in one place, you basically just want to remove the discolored plastic. This only applies to plastic lenses. There are products out there that make the claim but the majority of people I have talked to all agree it takes work to do it and replacement lenses are not cheap.

Assuming you are talking about a vehicle with lexan, or other plastic lenses over separate bulbs,
A company called "Meguiar's" makes a product called "PlastX". Bought mine at Checker auto parts. Works great on plastic headlight lenses. Maybe not like new, but very noticeable improvement.

I bought some stuff at Autozone that restores yellowed plastic headlight lenses. I used it on all 3 of my vehicles and it worked great.

don't know your make or model but if they are plastic headlights and have Yellowed (as they all do) there are alot of products that claim to polish them up and make them clear. I have tried alot. I would have been better off and cheaper to just get new. You can also install the small driving lights to help visability

Wash them like you would a window you can't see through. If that doesn't do it, it's time for new ones!
