I've heard stories that eBay PowerSellers are doing very well financially by building their business

What are ways to possibly get started? I don't have an infinite supply of things at my house to sell, however I know I can buy things for a certain price and sell them higher?

Kinda like the saying "Buy low, Sell high"

What would you suggest? What do you know about this success? Thank you everyone for your help.

As far as getting the selling volume needed, you should try to find a manufacturer or distributor of products about which you have some knowledge. Make sure the margins will be high enough to make it worth your while and you will need some money to get products initially.

Powerseller is a ranking you recieve when you maintain a certain $$ selling level for 3 months.

Aiming for the powerseller status is not the way to go. Most Powersellers have a terrible reputation on Ebay.

What you want is to ultimately make money. Aim for that. If you know of a product which you can sell and make money, do it. There's no time like the present. (Don't quit the day job until you're sure it's going to support you!)

I started selling on eBay 2 years ago and I went along to a one day ebay selling training course (they are advertised on eBay and generally run by Powersellers)They are very inexpensive courses & they show you how to go about setting everything up and give you great advice.Well worth it!
