Sure. Why not. The advertising industry does it all of the time. They tell you that you have this problem and then they sell you something to cure it. Count Acumen, President Bush did not start the war !!!! I was in the middle east in the 1950's and again in June, 1967, ( Remember the 6 day war? It only lasted 18 to 24 hours, actually)!! I worked alongside and trained several Arabs , who were not abashed in informing me that if they died, while killing an Infidel, their families would be better off, they would set with Allah, and have at least 70 virgins !!!! IF you study the history of the middle east, you would know that 1. The various tribal centers always are at war with anyone they perceive as having more personal wealth!.2, These centers war with their own flesh and blood, to destroy any thing they, themselves, do not / can not possess! 3.The leaders maintain their prominence by encouraging insurrection against anyone else, perceived as a threat to that leaders position of power! 4. I would ask you to look into the history of the Roosevelt administration allowing the sale of a great deal of steel to Japan in the 30's. There were people right in his own party warning him Japan could only be doing one thing buying all that stuff: puffing up their military. But Morgan and Ford and the other idustrialists thought the deal needed to go through.

It did, and the steel came right back to us at Pearl Harbor.
