Being in my last abusive relationship. It was so bad I realised I had to learn this lesson once and for all that I was worth more than this. I used to dread my own company, the loneliness was physically painful. With God's help I overcame this and I now love my own company. I married a kind and generous man two years later and I am stable for the first time in 45 years.

a lot of things-some good, some tragic:
-losing my father when i was 9
-my first of many guitars
-the deaths of my first girlfriend, and then my best friend, when i was in my early teens
-finding Christ
-finding out that the woman i was head-over-heels in love with had been cheating on me for months, and getting dumped by her during thanksgiving dinner with her family-totally out of the blue
-u.s. army
-marriage
-becoming a father
