Depression, life of remembering whatever you did, weakening against any future choice until you conquer the weakness you create(d), guilt and secrecy to those you don't want to know, chance they will find out, images and memories that you have to learn to get out of your head, and heck, depending it can lead to suicide after the depression, it will mark you as an easy target, and will happen again and again and you will always be able to reason yourself 'why resist' or new things you think of. anyone can find a reason to do something. anytime.
Depression is no joke, if you have not had it or seen a close one with it, you don't have any idea. Be careful, this is one of the usual first steps. Self esteem and worth and conscience.
Be Well, and yes..it is your life....just hoping it'll be a good one.

STD's and HIV are bad, but not the worst. If you willingly give up on a cause you truly believe in, the feeling of intentionally quitting is HORRIBLE. If you do it once, it makes it easy to do it again. It builds into a vicious cycle, and eventually you don't set goals or try to achieve anymore. You turn into a loser. A loser with AIDS, herpes, and syphillis.
If you're going to do something, do it right.

I think giving in is a total cop out. From my own personal experiences with misfortune I can tell you that it doesn't pay to wallow in your crap. Just like if somebody doesn't like you, fine just move on. My advice is just be yourself and be prepared for a few mistakes along the way, we are all human.
