no team would ever TRADE him, he is too damn good. but ARod can opt out if he chooses which he will only do if he can get more money from another team. he is set to make around 25 million next year, so if boston offers 30 mill, arod might opt out and sign with boston. thats the only way arod is with another team, because of money. the yankees would be stupid to trade him.

He's already said it a million times that he doesn't want to leave NY.
On the other hand, Damon said the same thing at Boston and then he just up & went to the Yankees, so nothing's written in stone.
But I really don't think he'll go anywhere for a while.
He's also my favorite player but I know he has a huge ego and that's why I'm sure he'll stay in NY until he wins a championship with them.
He wants to be one of the key players to get the #27 ring for the Yanks. He wants to be the hero of the game, get WS MVP and later on get AL MVP. He's good enough to do it, too! And did I mention those eyes??? *sigh* Irresistable!!!!!!!!

He can't be traded, because he's ready to walk away from his current contract. No one would give up much for him under those circumstances.
My guess is that the Yankees will have to negotiate an extension after the season ends, as they will need attractions for the new Yankee Stadium. The extension also will mean that the Rangers will continue to pay part of A-Rod's salary; they would be off the hook for that if he opts out in November.

They should trade him but they won't. Unless the Yankees win the World Series this year A-Rod is gone. And it's not a money thing because you know "The Boss" will pony up. I think he's going to end up in either Boston, Seattle, or Chicago(NL). They might as well get something for him now, but they won't.

I don't think A-Rod will opt out of his contract because he has said numerous times before he wants to be a Yankee and does not want to go any where else. I hope he does not got to another team but if he does I will still love him. I hope he stays the best player he can be he is doing great and keeps up all the good work.

He's not gonna be traded...and this makes me mad when people say the yankees have anything to do with this!
THE YANKEES ARE NOT TRADING HIM!
He's going to OPT OUT OF HIS CONTRACT! and then probably go to a different team but the yankees can still sign him if he does opt out.
He's gonna opt out because he can make so much more money now...and who wouldn't take it?

no he almost definitely wont. but if he does the only team interested is the red sox. he has said he will not negoitate any contract extensions until the offseason. i think there is a chance he may go to the red sox in the offseason. but 1 thing is almost defintite he will either be with the red sox or yankees

He can't be traded. What team could afford to trade FOR him? Its not that he would be disruptive to the clubhouse, its that the rest of the talent of the team would be gone, and that there would be no money for talent to be brought in.

LIke previously posted... he won't be traded because he can't be replaced, firstly.
Also the team trading for him would need to know that he would remain in his contract or sign an extension to make it worth their while.
