There is a nifty transfer tool offered on QVC you might like to try. If it doesn't work for you, they have a 30-day return policy.
Item Number E02181
The Tornado File and Data Transfer System w/PC Eraser Software
$42.54 + $4.47 S&H
To transfer files, use the USB-powered 54"L retractable cable. It allows you to easily plug in each end of the cable to the USB port of each computer. A built-in application automatically displays the contents of both computers on both screens. Just drag and drop the files you wish to move--including music, photos, documents, and more. To remove personal information from an old computer, use the PC Eraser software. It keeps the operating system intact while clearing free hard drive space. The software only erases what you want it to remove.

If you are talking about the information... its in the hard disk and you just have to take that out...
If you plan on doing what I think you are, in other words completely dismantle it... I sugest you get a screwdriver and allot of patiance... just unscrew everything and it will come apart. Just be careful if you plan on putting it back together.
