I personally don't have much experience with online retailer, but buy online from individual breeders quite often. I have found as a group they are very reliable and fair in their pricing. I would caution you though that if you are interested in Discus, price should not be a concern. You should spend wisely of course, but with Discus you often get what you pay for and it's worth paying extra to buy from a highly regarded breeder.

Do a Google search for "buy discus." You should find quite a few. Check out their sites and find one you like.

However, if you want it cheap, your better off buying from your local pet shop. A high end shop will sell them for about $50, while a not so good one will go for $25-30. You can find those online for about $20 each, but shipping is no less than $65. I'm buying 3 baby discus online next week, the total is $300. You really can't be cheap with discus, otherwise, they won't live too long. I've spent close to $800 on my 55 gallon setup with these.

Do your research on discus, one mistake can cost you your entire stock.

Sorry to say but discuss are NEVER cheap. They start at 40 for babies and cost as much as 500 for full grown. my fiance had them. ALSO they are hard to keep alive if you mix them with other fish.

Personally I prefer to support my local fish store or local breeders for all live goods.

Even though you may pay a bit more, in virtually all circumstances you'll get better service and better conditioned fish.
