How is supporting a corrupt administration because it's your political party beneficial to the country?

If this were Bill or Hillary or any Democrat they would be just as moved to call for impeachment!

If Dems were illegally wiretapping citizens, hacking into computers, arresting people without charging them with a crime....etc.

I really don't understand why some of you still support this madness!

Aren't you disgusted that the President may have to be hauled before the Supreme Court to be held accountable?
Are some of you aware of the damage that Bush has done to our country, it's people, and the function of our government???

snailracer: I will agree that many probably would for much the same reason many of you do!

I am asking for this to come to an end!

I opposed Bill Clinton and saw him for what he really was the day he signed NAFTA into law!!!

Clinton is every bit as much of a globalist sellout of the average American citizen as George W. Bush!!!

For exactly the same reason that Dems, if it were a Dem president, that Dems would totally condone it: both parties have become totally political and have zero respect for principles.

Another example: Dems and Reps completely switched sides with regard to the importance of purgery. A Dem president clearly did it, and Reps hated it and Dems excused it. Then Scooter Libby did it and the Dems screamed about it.

Is it any wonder that most people have lost respect for both major parties when those parties spend all of their time trying to make political points and have no principles?

Republicans are outraged. Have you seen the polls? Dumb question. That does not mean we want a liberal in the white house, though. Conservatives do not believe Nancy Pelosi and the free spending Democrats are a solution to the free spending idiots who took us into Iraq! We want a solution to the war and someone to save this country from our growing federal bureaucracy.

Clinton used the same wiretapping...it was legal then, and is legal now.

You are the hypocrite, believing that a President need not adhere to Federal Regulations regarding sexual harassment...and that bosses in the Federal Workplace can have quid pro quo sexual relations with subordinates.

Billary got impeached for obstruction of justice Lying to a grand jury is a felony in every part of America except Liberalland, I guess. Most Americans would serve a prison term for lying under oath.

Edwards is right: There are two Americas. One for the President and the most powerful in Congress and liberals, and one for conservatives and independents who have to live in the America liberals nearly destroyed over the course of eight years. Edwards, however, wants things to stay that way.

Had Clinton gone after the terrorists, as Bush did, conservatives would not scream for impeachment. Had Clinton cut taxes as Bush did, America would not have called for impeachment. Had Clinton kept his dingle-dangle in his skirt, America would not have impeached him. Had Clinton boosted spending on military and intelligence, America would not have called for his impeachment. Had Clinton removed Saddam Hussein from power and invaded Afghanistan and wiped out the Taliban and scattered al Qaida to the winds, America would not have called for his impeachment. Had Clinton not had sex with that woman and remained faithful to his wife like Bush, America would not have called for his impeachment. Had Clinton acted like a President and defended the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic like Bush has, American would not have called for his impeachment.

Had Clinton initiated programs to protect us from terrorism and the economic crash that began his final five months in office, America would not have been outraged nor would they have called for his impeachment.

P.S. In order for Bush to be hauled before the Supreme Court and held accountable, he has to have done something unaccountable, like Clinton and the Democrats did.

The phone monitoring has been going on since Carter. I want to be protected. There is not one case that I have heard of that has abuse.

Cite the examples.

If Bush was breaking the law, I would be angry. He has not`

Clinton's administration was just as corrupt (if not moreso) than Bush's, yet the vast majority of Democrats kept their mouth shut because Clinton was one of them.

So...yes. A lot of Republicans (which are mostly NeoCons since most of the true Cons it seems have switched to Libertarians) are keeping their mouth shut because Bush is one of them.

Clinton: Democrats kept quiet, Republicans were outraged
Bush: Republicans kept quiet, Democrats are outraged

Not much has changed. Just names.

Kelly if this were Clinton, you would see it as a global war on terror and would be singing praises to Clinton along with the main stream media.

Gore would do nothing because "the planet has a fever."
I think Gore has been stealing too many hits from his sons bong.

Why can't Dems admit that if this as a Dem Pres, They would be defending him!

Many people are blind to the flaws of those "on their side" but always looking for the flaws "on the other side."

And with an approval rating of 27%, half of those who voted for him think he is doing a miserable job!

Both political parties are guilty of wrong doing, and both are guilty of marketing themselves as better than the other. While their political philosophies differ greatly, I do not feel we have two major parties in this country. As Bill Maher says, "We have identical twins played by Patty Duke." Neither party is better than the other, although, the crimes committed by the current administration far exceed the Democrats in severity and arrogance.
