my computer teacher in elemantary tried to teach everyone to not look, but 6 years later I type 3 times as fast while looking at the keyboard. its easier that way

no, when I took my first typing class in 1974 our typewriters did not have the letters printed on the keys, so very quickly I learned not to look at the keys, it wouldnt have helped anyway. If I look at the keyboard while I type, I will definitely make mistakes.

Sometimes, but I am defiantly faster when I look at my fingers and I don't make as many mistakes. But In elementry school and in Middle school they would give us lower grades when we looked at our fingers, but i found it easier. And 1 teacher had the whole class put like a big piece of paper over the key-board so we couldn't look. that was tough! :)

I have managed to teach myself how to type with out looking at the keyboard. I still get tons of typos, though.

nope i confident do not.. i basically look at it initally to make confident that i located my palms in the staggering spot.. once I placed my palms on the living house row.. which i did staggering previously i typed Nope.. i havent appeared lower back off on the keyboard considering that.. certainly.. dont get me incorrect i make blunders, yet i know the place the backspace secret's : ) now the smiley face i had to look down on the keyboard to type the colon. : ) yet not that ingredient... ok im completed! Edit: See once I went lower back to envision it i had made a mistake.. i meant discover not type.. the colon image.

Nope - I amaze people sometimes w/ how fast I can type and not look at the keyboard....I can even do the numbers and the symbols.

look im looking at the keyboard and typing now. actually your right, it is easier, only if you know what you want to say.....if you're ever gonna work at an office, then you'll have to look at documents to type...thats why ur teacher taught you to not look at the keyboard...

yes but i am getting better at it. i use the keyboard on the bottom of my screen to help teach me how to type without looking.

I look at the keyboard. I think they taught like that in school because they wanted you to have the ability to type from something hand written given to you to type from.
