The usual cause of the light on your vech is called the rear wheel speed sensor. If you have 4-wheel abs there is a chance that one of the front sensors is damaged or severed but not likely. You may have to take the vech to a shop that has the proper diagnostic scanner to pull the code from the abs system. This is not a dealer only repair. Use good judgement and Im sure you will find a happy conclusion.

You need the right scan tool for the ABS system to find out what it might be. If it stays on and you did not yet move the car, it is either the valve assembly or computer or broken wires. The car must be moving for the ABS to know that a wheel sensor is NOT working.

It's probably safe to drive, but you might want to take it to a mechanic because ABS is an important feature there was probably a problem detected somewhere in your ABS system. That's usually why those lights come on, don't just assume that there's just a fault in the light and that's why it's on. Not only that, sometimes one thing wrong with fords may lead to another and another, I've had 2 of them already which is why I switched to my 4Runner. Good luck.

You have a bad wheel speed sensor on one of the wheels, usually on the front, either the sensor is bad or a wire has broken off from one of them.

I think there is a TCB for this and you should take it to the dealership and get it fixed for free. It is just a slight error and you should not let them repair anything else.
