My beeping coworker was checking out my car, and he was smoking. I think some of the ashes feel on the paint of my black car. Maybe it isn't, but it seems like ther are these black bumps all over my right side of the car.

Do you think the black bumps are the result of the ashes?

How do I fix it?

Should I scrap it off? i'm afraid of what's gonna happen. that some of a *****.

The ashes most likely just blew off the paint with the wind or when you drove off. IF you see something, then wash the car and if it is still there, then use a cleaner wax suited for a clear coar finish. I dbout if it is as bad as you're making it out to be. It could be something like road tar or a bug. good luck.

When cigarette ash falls, it usually goes cold before it hits it's target. I doubt that the black bumps are the result of the ashes. I wouldn't recommend that you scrap it off as it will remove the paint from your car while taking off the bumps, go see a panel beater, leave it to the professionals.

well I can tell you that his cancer risk isnt any higher now that he dammaged your car- his death risk would be much higher if it were my car. Ashes are burning hot pieces of cigarettes, of course they could injure a cars clear coat. Wax it- get a synthetic cleaner wax, if that works, great. If it doesn't work, get your high speed buffer, and some compound... depending on the dammage done, possible some sand paper, and a bucket of water. Or even better yet, take it to a detailer who won't burn the paint off your car with a high speed buffer.
