I think it depends on which section you are in. If you are in homework help, then you can give a wrong answer but in polls and surveys, it's more of an opinion thing.

It depends on the question.
For example, if someone asks, "Why does the sun shine?", there is a definite right answer, based on established scientific fact.
But if someone asks, "What's the greatest rock band ever?", there is no right or wrong answer, because it's based purely on subjective opinion.
If someone gives an answer that's completely irrelevant, then it's obviously wrong.
Now, try telling this to some of the "downers" around here.

Well even tho I want to say no, I MUST say yes. This being as everyone IS entitled to their own opinion. BUT there are also questions which are asked that do have a definnet answer. BUT there are still people here who think they are funny and will give an answer that has NOTHING to do wiith the question itself. As such they have given a wrong answer.

Depends on the question. For example if you asked where can I buy a flea collar and someone said my a.ss, that would be a wrong answer.

No because everyone has their own opinion on Yahoo answers. The rude answers isn't really necessary though.
