I was just recently watching an episode of Big Brother in which one of the straight male housemates stated he had a list of Top 5 guys that he thought were attractive. The other men gave him a hard time about it, seeing as he claimed to be straight.
Then later they were talking to one of the gay male housemates about this "list", and he asked them why is it such a big deal that he has one, when if a girl had said she had 5 celebrity women she would like to have sex with, no one would have batted an eye.
Their answer was essentially: well, it's different. If you go into a club and there's two girls making out everyone's into it and screaming and excited. But it's not the same with two guys. The gay male they were talking to then stated that that is a double standard.
Why do you think we are so much more accepting of two women being sexual with each other (or even just affectionate) than we are two men?

I find this questing interesting because as a lesbian I feel that gay men are more accepted so i guess it is just each person's perception and experience.
The other thing is that it is easier for straight men to accept two females together come on..thats a big turn on. Don't think it works the same way for women who see two men together...not sure why

cause ppl get caught up in the mechanics of gay sex between men. which is stupid cause 60% or so of married couples have the same sort of sex that so offends ppl when its 2 guys.

Women are accepted as being more affectionate, but in my experience it is not more acceptable for me to be a lesbian than for a man to be gay

I think it's they way it's viewed or thought of. In other words, there is no penatration with women with women, while with men there is. Kinda weird I know, but that's my take on it.

I think it's the same it's just not talked about.People just don't like it brought to their attention that they actually like watching two gay guys make out.they don't talk about how much they like it.
