No way. If a T-Shirt says made in China, I'll pass no matter how cheap. I was in the grocery store recently and saw some frozen grouper fish. Let me tell you what China did to the Country of origin. The printed, "A Product o Ehina." They mixed the "f" (of) with "C' (China), making it look Russian or something. This program won't let me show you exactly what it looked like but it appeared to be a "C" with a line trough it, (part of the "f') that they left off when they only listed an "o", instead of printing the word "of".

We shouldn't be doing business with a communist country in the first place and for us to assist China with the huge trade defect that we have are as much the fault of consumers as of the government. Don't buy products from China and they will stop importing them.

I rather see us importing cigars from the dictatorship of Cuba, because at least we know they could kill the consumers who buy them by way of cancer.

Great Britain and Australia are laughing at us for our trade practices and lack of medical attention to our needy. If we had an equal trade with China, the elimination of that deficit would more than pay for national medical reform in the U.S.

"anyone going to continue buying products from china?"

Yes. I plan to continue buying certain products from China and live there as well. It's a great opportunity for cultural exchange and business expansion. We buy so many products from China already; there is no need to stop because of fear. (Maybe because of the deficit, lol) The key to it is being careful about which products you choose to use, whether produced in the U.S., China, or anywhere else in the world.

"like dogfood that kills. tooth paste that killed a 100 people. virus laden pigs. etc etc etc."...

There is no reason to buy dogfood that kills, unkosher, virus laden pigs, toxic toothpaste, etc. How absurd. There are so many toxic products sold here in the U.S. already that AREN'T imported. How silly. The FDA warns us about dangerous products from China while ignoring our dangerous products.--Come on, now! Reality check!

We are already in a deficit with China. This is another reason why some are so adimant to ban Chinese products, in addition to the fact that some products have been recalled because of toxins.

Since China all but owns us - we don't have a choice. However - restrictions can be made to eliminate the dangers and defects; but of course that takes leadership from an American president, which we haven't had for the last 8 years. If Obama gets in - we'll have another 4 years of hot air. Without proper leadership things will only get worse.

It's a mixed up world out there and there are so many products from China how would you know if you were buying a product from China or not?
We could just slip 'em some LSD in their coffee... naw the US already did that to us. Besides they have already been pretty high, I mean in space.

that is the worst possible examples given of their products. It's like refusing to eat at any sonic in the world just because one of them make a nasty cheese coney.

China produces a lot of products and contrary to popular thought, all of china's population are not evil militant people who are plotting against us, that would be like assuming every American is a nuke happy war zealot. Most of China's population is composed of common workers trying to make a living while the government monitors and censors every type of media for them, including newspapers.

a handful of people boycotting products "made in china" will not topple their economy and "teach them a lesson".

I heard China is starting to go through depression because of this(I'm not too sure). I don't feel sorry for them. Because some of these products that was sold to other countries wasn't even tested. They sold many products to other countries mixed with ingredients they've never used before, to make it as cheap as possible. It's their fault that they lost everybody's trust. They sold products to other countries that China has never used before. One of my friend's cousin became the victim of it. He was luckily alive but had to be in the hospital for months.
