Well, here is what I do to end poverty. I teach a small computer class at our local homeless shelter. i did a fundraiser with the bums ( good nature jab at them they would laugh) called Bits and Bytes, for Bites. Did a street bbq to raise money to get 25 window 98 sets. And teach them how to use a computer / e-mail. creat resumes, generally getting them up to speed on modern equipment. Then work with them to get them jobs and affordable housing. Saving about a dozen bums a year. thats my contribution...

oh and food / money / time /

I am looking for a better job.

(but seriously, I also help others (as well as myself) in their recovery from drugs and alcoholism... that is a huge contributing factor to poverty for some people in the USA... but it is not the only factor.)

Donations to feed and clothe people do not really help.

Yes, that's what I said... and I'm sticking to it...

If you want to end poverty in America, then bring our jobs back from China!!!

Well we are killing alot of people. That helps bring poverty down. Though there is no direct formula, there is a pretty even ratio between how easy a person is to kill and how much money or "worth" they have. Especially when killing in large numbers. We are also doing a good job of forcing people out of self-sustainability. i like cheap things, you like cheap things, and we like to have lots and lots of things - which when gotten we want gotten cheap. Well there's only so much you can pay the hands that make and grow them if the people who put their names on it and bring it to you are gonna make money too. So it's all kinda working itself out. Soon we'll all be rich. Of course there will only be about seven of us left.

Nothing can end poverty.

There will always be rich people and poor people. That how people can identify their status.
