how do i know?
cuz I was born and raised in South Texas..San Antonio TX to us..is like NORTH texas..but i noticed when i was there for 9 months..very few people spoke fluent spanish..of course alot of Chicanos spoke spanish..but they spoke very cut.."not proper"..why is that??

thats because people go there and forget to speak spanish. i feel the same way. they just forget it

Growing up in East Los, Califas if you spoke proper you were (FOB) fresh off the boat, so to fit in it was all slang mang.

There are a ton of Mexicans in San Diego. I don't know much about Texas.

I don't know. There aren't that many business owners in Houston who speak Spanish now either, and now there are now Chicanos now who won't admit to knowing Spanish.
