DEFINITELY BAD, If there is nylon in it it will yellow and also if there is spandex, it will destroy it. If You have already done this it is too late to save it. In the future try Rit Yellow remover

Did you check the washing instructions? Most bathing suits say not to use chlorine bleach on them, and all-color bleach will not whiten anything. It just gets more of the dirt out. Too much bleach will also turn white things yellow. The proper way to use chlorine bleach is to add a relatively small amount of bleach to the wash water with the detergent.

Bathing suits are made of elasticised materials & elastic does not bleach well. As you found out it turns the elastic yellow. Sorry, to my knowledge there is no correcting the reaction once it is done. You might try rewashing with some Bluing in the water to counter the yellow (see the instructions for greying in the link provided below)

Sorry to say but... very bad!!! You should not use bleaching with lycra. To make it easier- just use bleaching in cotton clothes. Anything else will turn yellow....

Try setting it out in bright sunlight for a couple of days. It might work, it did for a pair of pants that I did the same thing to.

Not sure if this will work since it has already turned yellow.
Try soaking it in Clorox2 overnight. I have used it on some of my apparel and it worked.
It's worth a try !!

sounds fine to me! i bleached a white jumper and it came out as new again! good luck!
