The quick answer would be 'no'. That does not stop me from wanting it. No one can help the way they feel, but we should be responsible for the things we do.
When you mention "heart desires", I think of someone very special who chose to end our relationship without telling me why. I pursued the matter for a time, but was unable to reestablish contact. To continue would be to diminish the good things about loving her. Not seeing her does not change my feelings, but I know it's okay to have these feelings and that I will have them again, but this time it will be for someone who can take that next step.
