When listening to LOUD music or just LOUD noise both are the same thing. The problem is once the db level reaches 110 then the bones begin to break down. The hearing tries to lower the level and the hearing damage is permanently done. The brain begin to fail at 130 db. The blood begin to form bubbles at about 120 db. At 150 db blister begin to form in the gut. At 230 db the heart begin to fail and blood veins begin to tear. So if you want to do harm to your total body sit on the speaker and crank up the sound.
