so one day i was fliiping thru a family album and saw my great grandmother in a coffin. and its not disturbing or anything. cause she just looks asleep. its more the fact that someone took the picture that disturbs me. i would say its wrong but if someone in your family does it ask why. i look at it as why would u want to remember them in that way

To me its morbid. I would rather not remember them how they looked in their casket, but how they looked when they were alive and vibrant.

No it's not morbid but sometimes it's better to remember them on other pictures.

I wouldn't do it. I'd rather think of life situations I was in with the loved one to remember them by. But I can't judge what is the best memory of someone for us all. It just is not my choice of photography.

I think it is. I thought I was the only one who felt that way. I personally like to remember the person as he or she looked in life.

...yes I do...I can't figure it out...why people don't want to focus on the look and life they had before death is beyond understanding.

...more than morbid.

My dad did that with my mom, and I must admit that I didn't understand it at all, but I am not going to judge him. We all deal with grief in different ways.
