can some please tell me the differance between ultrasound and ultrasonic.

Ultrasound is a cyclic sound pressure with a frequency greater than the upper limit of human hearing, this limit being approximately 20 kilohertz (20,000 hertz).

Ultrasonic is an adjective referring to ultrasound and may also refer to:
a trade term for the use of high-intensity acoustic energy to change materials

the first is the noun and the second the adjective seem both the same other wise
