If you were smart enough to get your doctorate/go to medical school would you?

Would you be deterred by the high cost of a post-graduate education.

I would be deterred by the high cost. I know there are grants one can get and forgivable loans, but if I had to pay for it, I couldn't afford it.

I think I am smart enough to go to med school...If that is what I really wanted to do I would go for it, no matter how much it cost. I am a nurse and already owe for student loans so more debt would not bother me...I would not want to be a doctor as I work with them and see that they have no life outside the hospital or their practice...I like my spare time

For me the question isn't so much med school, it is law school.

I am smart enough to attend law school, but I have decided to just get my master's in the subject I got my bachelor's in instead because law school requires more effort than I think I am willing to devote at this time in my life and it would suck to spend all that money on something that I wasn't fully commited to.

I was smart enough, I earned a scholarship that paid for the whole thing.
