I must have missed it... I did go thru it a bit quick. Who used magic late in life? I'm going to try to re-read a bit tonight after my kids are in bed, but I promised to loan the book to someone tomorrow!

In some of the interviews, JKR says that someone will do magic for the first time very late in life. I missed it? I expected it to be Filch or Figg... but I didn't catch it when I quick-read last night...

It couldn't have been Hagrid... he always had the *ability*, just wasn't *allowed* I was expecting it to be just a "late bloomer"

I assumed Flitch or Figg as well...
But I couldn't find it either. It may have been one of those JK says rumors (like Harry not being a horcux) that everyone "knows" but it turned out differently.
I saw that question on the leaky cauldron site, but with editing, I am sure bits were taken out, and that might have been one of them.

I assume that you are refering to a nate about the seventh Harry Potter book found on mugglenet? I don't think there is anything in the book about that. However, much of mugglenet is based on rumors and interviews with J.K.R. all of which are subject to change.
