the by products of meat are less healthful than vegetable including animal fats in meat all the necessary amino acids that the body doesn't make on it's own can be easily obtained from a few bean and legume dishes . the NIH national Institute of Health clais that vegetarian or vegan eating is more healthful and some Dr. s speciallizing in diet and nutrition have recommended live vegetable and fruits.

This is interesting, a vegetarian can be just as unhealthy if they don't supplement what the body needs. Proteins from beans are an example, also broccoli for calcium. Some people will eat cheese instead of meat which is very fatty. Meat in moderation is fine, but a majority of meat like ground beef and processed chicken are high in calories.

Actually I don;t agree with you in the meat taking longer to digest than vegetable matter.
Herbivores have a longer digestive tract than carnivores ( and omnivores like us) so they can digest the cellulose in particular.....they even have to use bacteria to help digest it ( eg ruminants like cows, sheep, goats). THey also need the appendix to help store food as to allow time to digest the plant matter.
Meat takes less to digest so we have a shorter digestive tract.
What I will comment on is that we should be eating LESS meat.....look at our teeth, we have 4 carnivorous teeth ( canines) and the rest are for plant material.......Many people eat too much food which is why they are fat, not necessarily becasue we eat too much meat.
Vegetarians will almost always have to take vitamin and mineral suppliments to get things they need that they are missing out on with meat.
I will also say that the introduction of meat to the human diet is considered the major factor in our brain development ( our brain is superior to all other animal brains).......

Your health depends on how you take care of yourself, not what kind of eater you are. If a person chooses to eat meat, then they can be healthy as long as they don't eat red meat in excess since it is high in cholesterol. also it would be most wise to eat lean meat. If a person chooses to be a vegetarian, they too can also be healthy as long as they eat foods that contain proteins, such as eggs and beans. taking supplements as a substitute for the nutrition provided in meat is also wise.
As for meat taking longer to digest than vegetables, i'm afraid i don't know about that. i do know that vegetables are more filling than meats as they are stuffed with starches, which can make a person feel very full and satisfied. this would lead me to ASSUME that people who eat meat are likely to eat more of it, since it's less filling. this MAY make them "fatter", but of course this is up to the individual. meats do tend to have more fat than vegetables......
if you are considering being a vegetarian, i'd say go for it. you shouldn't be scared about your health as long as you make the proper choices. health is not about what you are, but how you do it. both meat eaters and vegetarians can be unhealthy if they make poor decisions when it comes to food.
i hope this helps!

There are some extreme groups that may wish you to think incorrectly about meat eating, but we are omnivores. there are healthy and unhealthy people in both camps.
The healthiest diet is said to be plenty of fruits and vegetables, heavy in leafy greens, whole grains, lean protein and a wide variety of foods with daily exercise.
Extremes in anything can be dangerous to your health.
