His best friend and personal trainer, Anderson, refuses to testify for the grand jury? The man was at the center of BALCO, is Bonds' best friend and personal trainer, but we're expected to believe Anderson wasn't providing him with steroids?

He's been in jail an awfully long time now. If he didn't have anything to hide about Barry, he wouldn't have sat in a jail cell for the better part of a year.

It's painfully obvious Bonds has used steroids and did so knowingly.

People need to wake up.

You have a great point. It is obvious now that he has taken steroids. If they say he didn't do steroids, why won't they fight it at the grand jury?

Great point, you get a star...

The question isn't whether or not he has taken steroids, the question is whether he knew what he was taking was steroids.
Sheffield, Bonds, and Giambi already testified that they did indeed take steroids, but Shef and Barry claim they didnt know that they were taking steroids, they thought they were putting a flaxseed oil creme on their bodies.
If they [Shef & Bonds] are telling the truth, then Anderson could be in severe trouble for distributing a misleading, illegal product...kinda like giving out heroin as a painkiller.
Just because Anderson is keeping quiet doesnt necessarily mean that he's covering up for Barry and Barry alone. BALCO's clients went from pro-athletes all the way down to high school students, as well as the BALCO employees themselves.
IMO, he's not keeping quiet to protect Barry, he's keeping quiet to protect a much bigger network of clients.

Barry is just the poster child, because people need to put a face on the problem.

Yes. If you look at Bond's career stats, you will see that he was headed downward in terms of production, and then immediately after McGwire and Sosa did their thing, his stats skyrocketed. This doesn't happen when one's gets older. To me it was obvious that he was juiced up. In 2001, Barry hit 73 home runs, and at the same time had 173 walks (then a ML record). Take away half of the walks, and his home run total would have easily been 90 to 100. Ridiculous!!! Barry Bonds and the many other steroid using ballplayers of the last 30 years have destroyed the integrity of Major League Baseball. In my mind, Hank Aaron is still and will forever be the homerun king.

Yeah Bonds probably took steroids. At least I think he did. But so did most of MLB including pitchers. People need to get over it and move on. There is nothing anyone can do about it now and hopefully baseball is serious about it in the future.

Maybe they are covering up for other people? They are just not asking them for info on Bonds, but a whole of other matters.

People who take steroids are not ""always"" big. That is a bogus stereo type. Most steroid abusers in this country are High school girls. Yes, that's is right, high school girls. This is a fact! Do high school girls look like freaks? No, they don't!!

Bonds was about 185 at the age of 19. He was about 205 lbs in 1993. He was about 210 in 1997. He was about 222 in 2001. He was 228 in 2003. That's not impossible!! For all those who say he went from 200-230 over night, bull ****!

Many people are like robots when it comes to steroids. They hear one thing and automatically pull the trigger. Knowledge is people's best friend. Stupidity and ignorance isn't.

Well, if you mean why he hasn't taken steroids then here you are if he did he would be expelled from the Majors, his records would be erased, and he would be hated around the United States

he is also linked with jason giambi and gary sheffield.i wonder how he feels, he is in jail and his kids are wondering whats going to happen. he has a son who's about 7 years old and goes to a feeder school for serra high school(where barry bonds went oh and tomy brady) and i know him, he never talks about barry bonds and says nothing about his dad because he is embarrassed. baseball is in such a deep hole, it is disgusting, actually america's major sports have been linked to so many illegal actions. mlb- steroids nfl-dog fighting, multiple arrests nba-gambling. this isnt a great decade for sports.

Circumstantially it does look damning, but the Fifth Amendment really does serve an important purpose, even in these dark times.
