I can't believe you guys actually think this is OK behavior. And some of your parents actually let you drink at home?! Bad parenting. I'm 28 years old and proud to say I've never had a drink.

Drinking that much at any age is unhealthy and may eventually get you into situations which are very dangerous. Teenage drunk driving for example could prove fatal and is a huge problem nationwide. There is also the problem of people taking advantage of you while you are drunk which could lead to all sorts of problems and could actually be the goal of those buying the alcohol since you are most likely not buying it yourself at your age.
I drank about that much when I was your age until my sister was almost killed in a car accident. Her boyfriend who was very drunk and was speeding flipped the car over and it rolled off the road. Luckily, no one was killed but my sister spent a lot of time in the hospital and still has problems from it, both physical and emotional. I quit drinking entirely.
My guess is that you have a lot of problems with your folks and they either don't care what is going on with you or don't know what to do about it. I would say that you are a normal kid but you do have a problem and it goes deeper than your drinking.

OK...first off, I'm an old guy...40.
When I was your age I did drink, but no drugs. I felt as though I had to do as others did in order to fit in. I actually hung out with all the different crowds and pretty much followed like a lost lamb. It caused problems with my grades and my family.
I know that I'm just an old guy who knows nothing, but pay attention!
Be who you are and don't do anything simply because your friends (or those you THINK are your friends) do. You truly have a huge life ahead of you, and whether you believe it or not, YOU ARE IN CONTROL of your future through what you do now!
Listen to the voice inside, and be strong...a leader, never follow. Your inner voice will never lead you in the wrong direction. The very fact that you're asking this question tells me that you have reservations. Do what's right for YOU and those you love.

Sounds like your getting yourself into a bad habit. Three times a week is some serious stuff. Are you aware of binge drinking? It a cause of thousands of deaths a year in teenagers, not to mention your leaving yourself wide open for sexual assaults. There's nothing wrong seeking some new friends, other wise you have the potential of getting caught in a ugly cycle of addiction. You might not think about it while getting smashed but your future is in your hands. Think wisely not what is "cool" because being "cool" wont end you up in a nice college and a good paying job,

It is normal, but not a good thing. You must be in with the wrong crowd, because I never drank that much. I experimented a few times with alcohol, threw up, and forgot about it. You could get into some serious trouble and screw your life up, or possibly lose your life. Make sure you don't ever ride with someone who is drinking. I lost three friends who were out drinking and hit a tree at 70 MPH. Please drink responsibly.

it is not as common as you think. to drink TO GET DRUNK is not normal. There are ala-teen meetings. think about it ~~ can you put it down for a WEEK and be without it?? if you canNOT, then you have a problem. but there is a solution. sobriety would be the best thing for you. i wish you the best of luck... you cannot solve a problem until you recognize that YOU HAVE A PROBLEM.
please seek help ~ you are too young to give your life away to ALCOHOL~! It will only get worse!

Yes, many teens do this. It is a stage of experimentation. You think that not many people do it because now at this age not everyone will go and spread it around really. The people you wouldn't expect even drink. This doesn't mean its necesarilly a good thing but believe me, our parents did the same exact thing we are doing right now. Do not let them fool you!

Well I'd be stupid if I believed young teenagers didn't go out and drink.
My advice is to be a rebel and Just Say No. Maybe your friends will follow suit!
