As long as they like it, I mean.

A daily bath won't hurt a newborn, but it isn't necessary. Babies don't get very dirty. If the baby likes it, try to use only water and save the baby wash for a couple times a week when the baby needs a little "freshening up". A baby who spits up a lot or has an explosive poopy diaper probably needs the baby wash, but otherwise, just a warm bath of plain water is all their sensitive skin really needs. Too much bathing can dry out anyone's skin, especially a baby.

I was told that its not necessary to give a baby a bath everyday because it can dry out the skin. At that age, I bathed my son 3 times a week. And I just regularly wiped his face and neck.

ive been giving my 2 month old a bath in the morning everyday since i came home with him,,,,i think of it like hes in his diaper all night and now that its summer he becomes sticky during the night so a bath feels good to him and he smells great all day,,,and he seems to fall asleep better in the after noon,,,,so i say if ur baby likes the water go for it,,,good luck

I bathe my daughter every night, and I have since she was bout 5 weeks old. It is part of our bedtime routine, and helps her get into her sleepy mood. I only use soap and shampoo a couple times a week though - the rest of the time we just rinse off and play!

If the baby enjoys it, I think it's fine!

It's okay, as long as your baby doesn't develop eczema or dry skin. I bathed all 3 of my children at least 5 times a week immediately after birth. If you think about it, every time they spit up, it gets in their necks. They also are in diapers every day with their behinds exposed to urine and waste, even if not for very long. Plus, they smell so sweet after a bath.

I would say no, bad for their skin, dries it out. My Doctor advised bathing my newborn 2 times a week or so, more if needed, but full baths kept to a minimum.

It's ok i guess but isn't the lack of natural oils from his skin making his skin dry? Besides why would a baby that small need showers? it's not like they get dirty that easy soo young. If its really hot it would be ok just to give rinses. But I dunno thats what I think. Other people might not agree.

Yes. If the baby's skin is dry you can add one drop of baby oil to the water. Or you can use Johnson's baby lotion.

I did with my daughter... every night before bed and it helped her sleep! I gave her a lotion baby massage and her skin was just fine. =) Now she just loves the water.
