EASTERN COUNTRIES: are those within the area of the Ural Mountains, Ural River, and Caspian Sea in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. They include: the former East Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Slovakia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzogovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Russia; and the EURASIAN countries of Armenia, Azerbijan,Georgia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Greece.

Middle East countries can be found with their flags at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_East.
Western countries are those of the USA, Canada, Western Europe, Northern Europe, etc.
The world's countries are also divided by how advanced they are politically, economically, etc. FIRST WORLD include those who have democracies as government (USA, Canada, Western Europe--France, Germany, Netherlands, Great Britain, Scotland, Ireland, etc), Australia, New Zealand, with advanced technologies, and a high standard of living.
SECOND WORLD were those Communist countries within the former Soviet Union's sphere of influence.
THIRD WORLD countries are those still developing in regards to technology, industry, and education. These include Mexico, all of South America, all of Africa, southern Asia (VietNam, Laos, Cambodia, etc), India, the Middle East, and Pacific Islands. These phrases originated during the Cold War, immediately after World War II through the 1960's.
