i live in va and i need to get my daughters last name changed?

her father is in prison right now and when i had her we wernt talking but we are cool now in fact we will be married in november so i want to go ahead and get her last name changed to his ASAP what steps do i need to take.... and i just yall to know i dont need any right or wrong advice all i want to know is how to get her name changed so dont tell me about how he is in prison and blah blah blah okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk? thank you
