I've always thought that the President went to a hospital, such as Bethesda Memorial. I know that at least in the past, they always went to a hospital, so why would Bush use Camp David for a surgical procedure?
Does Camp David have surgical facilities?
Does this seem odd to anyone else that the President is having surgery at Camp David today, on a Saturday?

According to the newscast I heard on CNN Headline news this morning, he was having surgery at Camp David.

He didn't he just wanted to give Cheney power for 2 hours :) Wonder how many people Cheney had killed hahah
I think the main reason would be it was a simple operation and blocking off a floor of a hospital because of security isn't really a smart idea.

The President had a colonoscopy which is an out patient procedure. Camp David has all the necessary amenities necessary to perform this procedure !

It's not odd at all. They set up a surgical unit there, flew him in, did the operation and had him back in Washington in no time. It was more timely. He was not the first.

For security reasons, of course. Plus it's a fairly simple, fairly standard operation.

I don't know how they can remove 5 polyps and say it's nothing until they check them and find out if they are benign or malignant.
