While in the Navy on a ship we went through a terrible storm, waves screaming over the flight deck and the ship rocking back forth, front to back... this is no task because an aircraft carrier is very large and the displacement is high.
After the storm this seasoned salt went aft and looked out over the picturesque view of clouds moving across the sea ( as with being on the road you can see a storm coming or leaving up ahead or aft).
and I heard this beautiful sound, almost like a woman's voice singing ( many believe that these peaceful creatures were the truth behind the mermaid myth) and now I know why.. the singing was hypnotic and soothing from low to high the richness stayed the same as the song bounced across the blue ocean, i was mesmerized and what seemed like hours was only moments as the dolphins followed the ship.

i think songs that are dramtic and/or haunting are the most beautiful. also songs that have certain meaning to a person i also find very beautiful
