Pete was an ultra talented guy on TV and the radio. He was known as one of the few people that just didn't read the teleprompter but put in a few jabs here and there. He let his feelings be known. His circular file was so funny with such dumb stories. He had a great sense of humor.

His family lives not far from our office and he is very pleasant and kind. The same off and on the radio. Very open to listen and to debate. A fun guy that will be a huge loss on tv and radio. Gone too soon.

Both the Dem's' and re pubs' can rarely agree on anything even when they want the same thing. Unless you go to c-span you will not see much coverage of third party candidates. Large corporations make huge contributions to candidates they support, you are limited in how much you can donate to a candidate personally. Corporations set up committees and groups to support and fund candidates. The latest bankruptcy laws were written by the banking industry for congress to make into law and it bit them in the butt. The other problem is that some people vote for 1 party all the time, either because they support that party all the time and believe it is the only party to do whats right,or they are dissatisfied with the other party for some reason. Both parties want it their way and will compromise some to get their way. If what I read on the Internet last night is even half true, this election may not matter anyway. If we have another attack like 9/11 or a major disaster before the elections F.E.M.A . will take control and George Bush will become the true power of government. If it happens after the elections and before the new president takes office,I don't know what will happen. G.W. signed an executive order for the continuity of government and F.E.M.A. will take over and suspend the constitution and the President will be the unity executive. Congress and the Supreme Court will still exist but will have very little voice, the President has the final say in all matters. There was also another site talking about the formation of the North American Union (Canada,U.S. and Mexico forming a union like the E.U. and the U.S. Constitution will be gone.

I am long time listener to Pete's radio show and also a vivid
watcher on news channel. Pete was a smart person who could
very well understand the current issues with in US.
It is sad when I heard the news and I knew that he was going
to have hip replacement surgery which he did mention on his
last radio show. For some reason, he voice sounded scared
and he does mention about it.

I am really sad to hear his demise and my deepest condolences to his family(wife and son),

He always sided many issues with Republican agenda and at
times during the years 2004-2006 he was a staunch supporter
of Iraq war and Prez. Bush. IMHO, he failed to completely
understand the war and he blindly supported the war and he
strongly stood by Bush's principles. This is the time, I did not
like him as he failed to understand the cause and affect. But
eventually, he changed his perception of the war only when it
was failing miserably.

Anyways, I miss Pete and his presentation skills and trying to
articulate about an issue(other than the war) was so good
that made me to listen to him.

We miss you Pete. May his soul rest in peace.

I am shocked and so saddened. I listened to his afternoon radio show and his news anchoring at Channel 7. I appreciated his humor and insight into issues. I really enjoyed when he interviewed authors too. I will miss him most during my afternoon commute when I would listen to his radio show (I was always tempted to call in one day too because Pete always got great discussions going and made you think about issues in many different lights). It will feel empty on the airways now.

I grew up watching Pete on channels 4 and 7. He always seemed to be a steady, reliable newsman. I will miss hearing him and my sympathy goes out to his family and coworkers.

I didn't listen to him on the radio, but he was a familiar face on the television news. I only learned of his death today and am saddened by the community's loss.
