An arithmatic progression has equally spaced terms. The difference between adjacent terms is the same.

(3x - 4) - (x + 2) = (2x + 7) - (3x - 4)
2x - 6 = -x + 19
3x = 25
x = 25/3

let x+2 =a
3x-4=b
2x+7=c
in A.P. standered is
2b=a+c
2(3x-4)=(x+2)+(2x+7)
6x-8=3x+9
3x=17
x=17/3
