If your sun lounge was built with permission, you may not need to get permission to replace it. but check with planing dpt first. As to the extension you must get quotes from at least 3 builders. Ask Friends if they know of any good builders. If you are asking this question then you do need a builder.

First check with your local planning dept, you might not need planning permission.Contact some reputable upvc window companies, get detailed quotes from them. They should do everything from the foundations.,brickwork, upvc frames, roof work, any internal plastering etc. After you get the brickwork up,it should take 2 men about 3 days to do the rest.If your property is brick try and get the same,or similar bricks. You could also use breeze blocks, which will be rendered and then painted.

Go to the library. There are tons of books on topics like that complete with plans and estimated materials. You will need to get your local code enforcement to approve it before you start.

first you will need planning permission..whilst a conservatory is considered a temporary structure ..mainly because of its glass or polycarbonate roof ..but when you slate it or tile it ..then its classed as permanent..therefore you will need planning and it will need to comply with building regs ..before anyone can give you any type of estimate ..you have to give us sizes ..we are builders not mind readers !

lol !
First get an architect to draw up a plan.
Then go to your council planning office, and submit it for approval.
IF approved HIRE A BUILDER!
Any structural mistakes from the foundations to the roof, and the council surveyor will make you pull it back down!
