Ahhh... so that was YOU! After a few hours of confusion, I did eventually go back for another copy...unfortunately, I was initially in such a hurry to be the first posting "spoilers".... If you hear anything about Voldemort in a flowered-print frock strolling hand in hand with a Fabio lookalike by the beach, just ignore it.... :-)

Absolutely not. It's fine that some people may not accept them - but Harry Potter has a VERY big fanbase. The books shouldn't be taken off shelves just because some people don't like them. If everybody disliked them, that would be a different story. But it'd be unfair since there are a lot of Harry Potter fans. Think, if all books that at least somebody hated were taken off shelves, we wouldn't be left with any books at all, would we? Besides, Harry Potter certainly isn't as offensive as some people make it out to be! In fact, I don't find bad at all! It's content is FAR from that - the whole thing is more about love and goodness.

shucks! i opened this Q in hopes of a fill in the blank answer.
my intent was to post a "get a life" self-help book.
in my era we never had such hysteria over such fadism, else the world would still be locked in an H.P Lovecraft, Ray Bradberry, Isaac Asmov, or E. A. Poe fervor. those folks could WRITE without developing a cult fetish!
