What can I do. As in recent questions I have said i've been seeing this guy for nine months (Mark), he's 45 and im 43. The problem is his brother(Jeff), gives a lot of signs showing me that he likes me, and i don't have an interest in him, but this is causing trouble between me and Mark. I don't know what to do, I can't ignore Jeff. But when I say hi or something, Mark gets these spurts of jealousy. Help!

You need to sit with Mark and jerk, I mean Jeff and tell Jeff that you and Mark are dating and he need to respect that. If this doesn't work then you need to see Mark somewhere where you may not run into jerk, I mean Jeff.

Mark has to deal with you saying hello to his brother. If there will ever be any long term relationship with the two of you. Maybe talking to him more about how you feel about him will help. Jeff needs to stop trying to pick up his brother's girlfriend. Can you blame Mark for being jealous? We have to look at the other person's side of this too. He has every reason to feel this way because this is his brother. Why can't you ignore Jeff? After all he is the one causing the drama.

Be careful of showing signs of flirtations to Jeff. Remember Cain and Able. Sounds like Mark is insecure. Is Jeff the older brother? Sibling rivalry can be a serious situation. I would definitely talk to Mark about how he's seeing the situation in a light-hearted manner. I would expect at 45 he's old enough to hold a decent coversation without being ridiculously jealous.

I would put more attention into Mark (if that's the one you like) and less attention into Jeff.
Even when Jeff is around, that would be a good time for you to hold Mark's hand, or give him a kiss.
That is going to make Mark feel better about the situation and that will give Jeff the signs that you're not interested.
If you're interested in Jeff, then you have problems ;(

A little jealousy can be healthy for a relationship as long as no one (including the person experiencing jealousy) takes it very seriously. Your only responsibility is to make sure that Mark knows you have no interest in Jeff. Involve him in the issue so that he feels like it is your mutual concern (not just yours or his) by asking his opinion on what the best way to handle Jeff would be.

Talk to Mark openly and tell him you are in a very uncomfortable position here. HE should then have a talk with HIS BROTHER and set things straight!
The fact his brother is flirting with you is NOT a good thing, and the sooner this is brought out in the open, the better!
Good luck...
