yes, i use lime juice and granny use to always leave the pit in but mine seems to still turn brown the next day, it sucks because i love it!!!!!

it's avacado... if lime or lemon juice doesn't make it last as long as you like, there is nothing you can do... that's avacado for you...

Even though it has turned brown it is still good. Use Lime juice and everything but also cover the bowl with plastic wrap. If it is brown in the next day just stir it up its fine. It just gets brown as a reaction to air, just like apples turn brown as well.

Leave the pit in it and make sure it is covered tightly. You may have to scrape the darker top layer, but I've rarely had to do that.

cover it with plastic wrap, put it Right on top on the dip so that the plastic wrap is touching it, it will stay greener a little longer..
it's the air that turns it brown...

We never have any leftover dip, but I use lemon juice anyway b/c I like how it tastes.
