Yes, I am also somewhat impressed with the glass itself!
Optimists supposedly say that having the glass half-full is better than half-empty. Of course, this is all contextual! It depends on what is in the glass and why. Is it the water you need to drink up soon so you don't dehydrate? Better empty that glass soon, kiddo! Or maybe it's a glass of hydrochloric acid that you accidentally drank. Half-emptying the glass wouldn't be such a great thing then, would it? Actually, a person would probably be too busy writhing in agony to think about it at that point, let alone amaze at how they didn't drop and break the glass...
If we talk in terms of physics, unless the glass is in a perfect vacuum, the glass is always full even if half is water: the other half is filled with air. Hence you always have a full glass of something.
Unlike those that like to use this question to patronize those that may be feeling a bit depressed, I use this question as a fun little IQ test!

If given a glass of drink and asked if it was half full or half empty, I would concern myself first, to a degree of reason, about the nature of its contents. If for instance, the glass is half empty then I would see that there is still room for more, room for hope. I would then receive it with half the hope. But if the glass I see is only half full then I would accept it with full gratitude.
But the question is not always very simplistic; it is a question about general attitude towards life, and situations in life. This question asks if I am an optimistic person? The answer to this simple question is simple too. Yes! I am an optimistic person. I do like to see a silver lining in every cloud. I do seek to find good in everything I see. I too live through the bleakest of nights with hope that a new dawn will cause yet another bright day. I see that all things pass, as there is an end to every thing. If then I learn to accept something good today with gratitude, I could hope to receive something better tomorrow.
Your attitude is great, for how many people realise that having a glass at all is having a capacity for something, which is only the start.

I have always thought of this as a timing statement. Is the glass being filled or is the glass be emptied? If you have a glass that was empty and is now half full then the glass is clearly half full, if you are drinking a full glass to the half way point then the glass is half empty............??????????????

It really depends on the person. If you're a pessimist, the glass is half empty. If you're an optimist, it's half full. I prefer to think of it as half full because there's still some left. Always think on the positive side of things- it makes a bad situation much better!

Half empty, for if is was milk or water, that would do me only good I would like to enjoy the whole glass. If it was poison that would kill me I would rather have the full dose so that it was effective and less painful.

It all depends on what you want to see.
Some people see it half full and others half empty.
That shows how much each individual's opinion is different.
Everybody should respect one another's opinion.
It is always good to know the 2 side of a coin instead of only one, so you can have a broader mindset

It's an opportunity for enhancement. pour it in a smaller glass and it becomes full. You would not pour it in a larger glass as it's value would diminish. so the answer is it is a full glass if you reduce the issues and take advantage of the opportunity.
OK?

It's neither half empty nor half full - the glass is just twice the size it needs to be
