Past life can mean past "incarnation". In this sense, I would not answer you because I am not a Hindu and I don't believe in reincarnation.

Past life can also mean early life which I am very glad to answer.

Yes, my past or early life might have affected the lives of other people. I could have been or one of the the reasons for their success or failure. Or, on the other way round, I could have been too insignificant that people see me as naught.

Whichever the case maybe, I truly believe that I contributed to couple of lives of the people I love (and the people I hate).

As to how it affected their lives is quite hard to answer. But it can be attributed to the relationship I have with them. I gave advises, I was a good friend to many and I was very helpful. I admit I was also a headache especially to my aunts.

Actually, I believe that our past lives affect us and then, in a positive way, helps others. I feel that God is a benevolent God and will give us more than second chances to help us learn many lessons while helping ourselves and others. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. That's why when I enter a structure where other human beings are, I quietly say Peace Be To This House. Luke 10:5. Peace and God Bless.

by past if you are meaning, the past years from child hood to present day.. then it does affect others .. but first it affects you much..

Your are the result of your all the past ,,work, thoughts, emotions, trust, fears, beliefs ..

it would be naive to say that there is no past only present is there.. but what you did yesterday or day before or a decade before will have some relevance to your presnt in some form or other..

suppose you were a thief before a decade. your present will be affected.. people will avoid you even if you are a Reformed man..

if you were a President before a decade also your present will be affected.. people will love tobe friendly with you even if you are not in power

If you are referrig Past life as a previous birth..
then I am not the authority to give you elaboration on this

Past life, as in reincarnation? Interesting concept, but as far as I am concerned it's just another excuse to make dieing look like a not so bad idea. So if we do have a past life, does it even have an effect on ourselves? Probably not.

Your past life defines you. You can effect others through the choices you've made based on your previous experiences. A good example of this is your choice of friends. They would be different if you had led another life.

The way I interpret your question you mean this life not reincarnation. Of course everything in our pasts effects everyone else. There are consequences for every action. When you interact with anyone, they in turn interact with others and so on and so on. The smallest detail can have wonderful or catastrophic events though the interactions of hundreds of people.

When we think about the past, we recreate in the present what we felt and experienced then. Whenever we do this, we end up repeating similar things that have happened. This often results in the hurt of others either emotionally, physically, or "spiritually".

Whether you are referring to the past, or "past life", when we have our ego in mind, we can be very destructive to the well-being of others. When we feel bad for that which has happened to us and the unfairness, we then care less about what happens to others. And sometimes may even enjoy hardship and suffering that affects, or that we might cause to others.

Learn from the past/past life.

i think we can live and grow, and take a basic knowledge on with us, to our next life, we slowly can develop our core self, and we will maintain true to that, during this lifetime, and often there is a reason for it, even if we dont go into a field or a project concerning a certain area, we still can represent that concept,
for instance, i was born in the deep south during the time of segregation, in the "bible belt" but i knew that people were all the same, there were good and bad but none of it had to do with race
i also had a deep sense of many paths to God, so acceptance of various religions as an individual choice came naturally,
i think the belief that i had lived different lives, as a women but as different races, in different countries, had a great impact on this
some of the things i have seen become a focus during my lifetime, equal rights for women, equality for all races, recognizing abuse, dont hit children , etc etc i was just born knowing, and have spoken about since early adultood
nothing about my upbringing taught me this,
so while yes one might need to work threw some problems, learn some lessons, i think one can also take on with them the wisdom they have learned and pass this on to others, one small spark for the advancement of humans

Everything we do or say effects other people. Even a random act of kindness or a smile can effect 100's of other lives. One bad word or bad act can do the same.

The theory is that the mistakes you made in your past life will need to be corrected before you can move on to a better life, or you will be forced to repeat the same lessons until you get it right. Over and over. So... I guess we better smarten up and get it right eh? ;)
